Two gunmen are at large after five people were shot dead and three others injured at a backyard barbecue in Pennsylvania, police have said.
Four women, one of them pregnant, and a man were killed on Wednesday night at the cookout in the poverty-blighted Pittsburgh suburb of Wilkinsburg.
The attackers worked as a team, say prosecutors, with one driving the victims towards his accomplice, who used a high-velocity rifle to shoot them all in the head.

A gunman with a .40-calibre pistol opened fire on as many as 15 adults who were playing cards during the late-night barbecue in the yard.

They ran towards the rear porch where another gunman armed with a .762-calibre rifle similar to an AK47 shot them from behind a chain-link fence.
"They were all head shots," said District Attorney Stephen Zappala.
"The murders were planned. They were calculated," added the prosecutor, who hasn’t ruled out drugs as a motive.
Four of the victims were found dead on the back porch, while the other died in hospital, Allegheny County police said.
The victims were three siblings, 35-year-old Jerry Shelton, 27-year-old Brittany Powell and 25-year-old Chanetta Powell; along with 37-year-old Tina Shelton, and 26-year-old Shada Mahone.
Two men were in a critical condition and a woman was in a stable condition in hospital after the shooting.
At least two suspects fled the scene on foot after the shootings.
Bullet holes were visible on Thursday around the porch.
Tables and chairs, some tipped over, remained in the backyard.
Residents gathered on the street after the shooting, some in tears saying they had lost family members.
